M.S.A.D. #6, comprised of several bedroom communities outside of Portland, has experienced dramatic growth in recent years. The increased population has impacted the school district as a whole, and Bonny Eagle High School in particular. The current facility is well below state standards for the number of children being served, and is in urgent need of updated, expanded facilities.

To address these issues, Smith Reuter Lull has been working with the school district to update their master plan, and to assess and prioritize the needs for the facility. The initial phase of work outlined in the master plan involves renovations and additions to create an expanded music education facility, new administrative office and new main entrance.
