Our work with the South Portland School District at the Mahoney School began with the study of alternate window systems to provide a cost effective, yet appropriate means to upgrade the existing windows in this historic building. This study led to the installation of new replacement windows which retain the integrity of the building's distinct architectural features. |

We have also been
involved in the restoration of the original brick and pre-cast concrete
entrances which date to the mid 1920’s. Over the years, the harsh weather
conditions have deteriorated the masonry, requiring extensive restoration to
ensure the safety of the students, as well as to restore the grandeur of the
original entrances. The masonry restoration will be completed using modern masonry repair techniques and materials, in an effort to provide new life to this character-defining feature of the building.
